Kharuyk Hiking ClubAn ascent of the highest peak in the Geghama Mountains — Mount Azhdahak (3597m). The journey starts from Geghard village, followed by an off-road drive in a ZIL truck to the base of Mount Paytasar. From there, we hike to the summit to see the crater lake. Weather permitting, the route continues to Karmir Katar. On the way back, we will visit ancient petroglyphs scattered across the slopes. • Distance: 14 km • Difficulty: Moderate Required gear: Comfortable hiking clothes and shoes, sun protection (hat, glasses, sunscreen), a raincoat, packed lunch for one day, and at least 1.5–2 liters of water. Meeting point: Yeritasardakan metro station (near the Statue of Hands) at 06:50. Participation fee: 12,000 AMD (includes transportation and guide services).
